Tidal River Open Space Project (TROSP)

TROSP Darby walk was a ‘tad’ windy but it was, as always a good day. The tide was low, the beach deserted and the effects of nature stunning. The river has changed direction and there were hardly any rocks.

We found a penguin, as did the Pacifi Gulls.

Our morning tea was delicious as we nestled out of the wind, in the sun. who could ask for more in South Gippsland in May? Well - maybe a little less wind but let’s not be fussy :)

March TROSP Walk Another HUGE Success

The weather was perfect for walking, the tide low and the destination a good walk. It was great to see new faces and welcome back those who have joined us before.

Our step count for the day was 12,000 steps  x 27 people = 324,000 total TROSP steps for the morning - YARHOO!!!! And you wondered why you felt a littel weary at morning tea…

Although Jo was away interstate the others rallied a cooked up a storm for morning tea - with an array of slices and a sensational fruit cake. If you were not with us then you missed out - BIG TIME!

This Saturday was a great time to see the playground area in use. Lots of children using the slide and swings with other family members watching. It showed the potential for the space to be revived as a meeting space for all.

The project is in a crucial stage. The TROSP group is reviewing the plans to prepare for further rounds of funding applications and we’ll keep you posted on our progress. Until then put April 8th in your calendar for a 9.30am start we are walking the Lilly Pilly circuit walk.
